Thumbs down Sporadic flashers

So a few days ago i blew up a u joint in my truck and i put the flashers on and wlked back to my dads shop (short walk) and i noticed that the flashers dont go blink blink blink its more random like blink........ blinkblink.. blink and its the same thing with the turn signals... Also when i pull out the headlight switch with the key off all the lights come on except the pass headlight but when the key is on its fine????? and the pass side blinker is always on when you pull out the switch... TIA

Take all your bulbs out and look down in the socket at the tab for grounding the bulb, mine all had a thick coat of rust on them. Once I replaced or cleaned the ones that could be saved, I have had no issues since. Dim lights, random blinking with the turn signals, and the dash indicator staying on, where all problems I had.

I forgot that the dash indicator for the right turn signal was a constant on too when the flashers were on..... Thanks ill try that

Both of those symptoms are usually from bad-grounds.

I had same sort of problem. Like everybody else said, check your grounds. That's what it was for me
