Ammo Can Console/Cupholder Ideas?

Hey ya'll! I could use some help on brainstorming ideas. In my 82 F100, all I have is them lil' ole glovebox cupholding rings. I also wouldn't mind having some kind of center console to hold stuff in. So after some thinking and searching I decided I'd use one of them surplus military ammo cans. Just picked one up from an old boy in my town and am gonna paint it and stencil it some. I know I'm gonna attach some cupholders, but do ya'll kind folks have any other ideas what I could use it for? Much appreciated!

What's the inside diameter of the ammo can? You could make a sub enclosure out of it as well as have it be a console with cupholders. Though if it's not very big, like less than 8" inside diameter, I'd probably forget that idea, since a sub that small won't make that much noise. lol.

My only thought is that if you ever drive to NJ make damn sure there is no ammo in the can, lol would like to see this thing done. Crossy

My idea is that you would change the title to something related to your looking for cupholder ideas, not something generic (and easily ignored) like it is now.

Ive been using an ammo can for an armrest on my bench seat for awhile, not bad and removable if needed. I store some emergency supplies in it and was storing it behind the seat but having a hard time putting the seat back, so now it rides up front. If theres a way to put some cupholders on it let me know

Assuming it's metal, you could just tack weld short pieces of ~3" exhaust pipe to it. If you're creative you could cut one end out to match the contour(s) of the ammo can.

If it's plastic, I'll have to think on that one. lol

stand it on end, and get some 3" pvc caps, scew them to the side of the ammo can, so that the can is upwards, with the lid up, and the caps are on either side of it, or maybe 2 on the front side of it. Then mount it in front of your seat, make it easily removable, then you could fill it with ice and use it as a cooler, and have a couple cup holders screwed to the side of it. Just screw them to the very top of the sides, so the dont leak, and might think about silicone or something. or use something similar in steal, and tack them to it.

Thanks everybody for the ideas! They're all perty great. I'ma try and post some pics of the can and will keep it updated with my progress. I like the idea of having a built in cooler type thing. Maybe a segmented section around the base of each holder to hold ice or an ice pack. But then again..I dont know just how often Ill take the time to get ice along with my drink, haha. This depends on just what cupholder I find to use.
