Navigator - Chrome rocker panel trim removal?

Hey guys... I'm new to the forum. I recently got my wife a 2010 Navigator. It's got the chrome trim on the rocker panels and we'd like to make it a tad more subdued. What are our options? Can this trim just be removed? I know in 2011 they offered a "monochrome" package - we are kind of going for that look.

Any suggestions?

not really sure what exactly you are talking about. got any pics?

if you are talking about the lower door cladding, it's held on by double sided tape. I just found that out today myself. Was washing the Expy and noticed 3 of the 4 doors have loose cladding. Nothing that will fall off immediately, but it does need addressed fairly soon

In time it will go away. Too broke at moment between holidays and after buying truck to be in a position to buy anything nice

Not really worried about the cladding. It's just double sided tape. Some fishing line and it'll come right off

You have 3 options in my opinion I believe. One would be the most expensive which would be to buy new cladding from Lincoln and reinstall it. Second would be to remove it and get it painted by a body shop. Third and by far the cheapest, would be to wrap it in vinyl. I Like the chrome cladding because it breaks the truck down a little and makes it look a little smaller. I did however paint the front grille black.
