mazda transmission help

dose anyone know if i can put a new say 97 to 99 5speed transmission in my 92 as my mazda transmisson has no 1 or 2ed gear and i cant find a mazda anywhere around here

im not sure what kind of vehicle u have but assuming u have an f150 with a m5od trans im gonna say yes u can

Yes, and no...

Yes-The transmissions are the same...

No-The bellhousings/bolt patterns are different....

ANY small block ford (300, 302, 351w) will bolt right up....Only issues will be cross member/driveline....

then he could use the old bell housing assuming its in good shape? is that correct?

Uhhh.....That's a hard one to explain...

The Maza M5OD's use a integrated bellhousing/transmission body...

So no....And the engine swap is just too much $$$ for the hassle....

Are you looking for the Mazda 5 spd? I'm swapping out the mazda in my truck 1989 f-250 light duty 5.0 5spd would sell as a pkg, is leaking a little at rear seal. has 78k on, looking for ZF for the 460 I'm installing. Located SW Minnesota.call if interested, truck still running, just putting together the equipment needed to do install.five zero seven, eight 2 eight, sixty, eight, sixty

Might I suggest pm-ing phone numbers, addresses, etc....

So you won't have a lotta random calls, etc....and for safety...
