Ben, the gray is actually oxidized blue and what the whole truck looked like. The blue you see is the half of the truck I cleaned the paint on. I have now finished the whole truck. My OD question was regarding the stock 1954 3 speed OD trans

Hey PJ,
I think that weathered blue looks great - wouldn't change a thing.
How's it drive? The two areas that seem to come up often are
improving the braking power & tightening up the steering & suspension. I have to take my 1950 F1 down to get vin verified next week - you are ahead of me on that one.

nice truck! It has a spotlight and west coast mirrors and the dimpled fender for the sidemount spare tire! and I am glad you did not rod it. Are you saying the OD doesnot work?

Thanks Abe, I just picked up a carrier for the bed side spare (original had been gone 40 years). Was the OD a separate unit? Or just 3rd gear being overdrive and not 1:1?
