Hey guys. Well, I'm bummed and wondering when this truck is going to be built after all. I have a VIN 1FT7W28T4CEB04921 and a supposed build date of 12/12, but the Window Sticker is not available and we are less than a week away from the build date. I used the link provided by Silverbullet (below) to pull up the Win Sticker, but get a blank page.

Any thoughts, ideas or even sympathy would be appreciated.

Looking at the formatting of other F250 VINs on this forum, I wondered if the dealer gave me the wrong VIN # and instead if 1FT28T4CEB04921, it should instead be 1FT7W2BT4CEB04921. When the salesman called me with the VIN, he said they questioned whether the 12th Character was an 8 or a B, but based on what you all told me that one has to be a B. So now I wonder if he was confused and meant the 7th character instead. Anyway, I tried then both - and neither work.

 

Most of the trucks originally scheduled to build early next week (12/12) have been rescheduled to later in the week. Try looking for your window sticker again this coming Thursday...

 

I got my vin from the dealer, it said the truck would be built the week of the December 12th, with arrival during the week of 12/26. I checked this morning and my truck was built yesterday 12/5/11. Just keep checking everyday, it will eventually be there.

 

If your going by window sticker availability it does not necessarily mean your truck is built. Trucks are usually invoiced 7 days prior to the scheduled build date and the window sticker usually pops up online the day following invoice. If your window sticker first appeared online today, it is likely that you are scheduled for build on 12/12.

 

I was going by the "BM051 N RB 2X 220 003181 12 05 11"

That was the same line for build date of my 2012 Focus in May of 2012.

Maybe this is formatted different. Can you tell me?

The date in that line of coding is the date of invoice, not the build date. Same would apply to your Focus. Super Duty window stickers do NOT show the scheduled build date. Focus window stickers display the scheduled date of build, but it is listed at the top of the sticker above the word "BLEND".

Here is a example of a Focus sticker. This one was invoiced on 11/01 and built on 11/08... The build dated is listed in the grouping of small numbers just above "BLEND". Its read right to left. Day, month then year...

Congrats...you'll love this truck! I just picked up my 2012 last sat. It is light years more refined and "nicer" than my 2003.
FWIW- I ordered mine late Sept. and it was at the dealer the week of thanksgiving. Well worth the wait.

Hey Michael53, I know exactly what your going through. I've had my vin for two weeks now and the build date scheduled for yesterday 12/5 with delivery on 12/19. I still can't get it to come up on line. I called Ford Cust Serv today about transferring my extended warranty and they looked up the vin for me and said it shows in production and del still on the 19th. Hopefully in the next day or so...

My window sticker showed up today, just as you noted on Tuesday. I feel much better nowing that my truck is finally scheudled to be built. Unfortunately, it will probably not show up in Libertyville IL until after December 22nd - when I leave for Calgary for 2 weeks. But it is nice knowing it will be there when I get home January 2nd!
