4r100 trans sloppy 1st to 2nd shift solenoid pack?

Not the solenoid pack, my suggestion is to change the accumulator springs that are in the front section of the valve body, the springs can be found in a shift kit along with instructions.
Is there a possibility that it might be missing second gear altogether? Its a common failure with that trans.

I don't have any experience with replacement accumulator body's, I have always installed the kit myself.
I would think that if they just do the basic upgrades with the springs and 1-2 accumulator valve installed it will work fine for you.
I think another company I have heard of on this site that has these accumulator body's is BTS.
