Thinking of getting Raptor, any regrets?

I am thinking of getting a raptor but, most of my driving is in Fl on interstates. Is the truck rough riding or is the road noise real loud from the tires? I talk on Bluetooth a lot and a lot of road noise would be a big draw back. What are your thoughts on the truck?

It's from what i've heard, the softest riding of all the F-150 series, about the noise... i would advice trying one, but i bet it isn't loud. There where some issues with the frame if the truck was abused (2011 model, i think this has been corrected). That engine won't make too much noise if you keep it in low revs.

I meet a guy in Florida that bought one of the first 6.2L Raptors. He is an attorney and does a lot of talking in the truck. He put on new Michelin rubber within the first week of owning the vehicle. Very quiet and super plush ride, a bad *** truck no doubt. I think they were LTZ’s . However the gas mileage of the 6.2 is horrible. About as bad as my v-10 Superduty. If you can afford a Raptor and the associated fuel costs then popping for new rubber right off the bat should be a trivial expense for you. If not don’t buy the truck. Personally I would get a King Ranch with the ecoboost . That is one sick truck. Plus It gets great gas mileage

I ordered a 12 FX4 on oct 20 with all options in race red with the black and red interior. We also added the factory bed liner on dec 2 as it is now avabilable in the 150 line like the SD trucks. 50.5K list. Dealer says I don't have to take it if I choose. It is the ecoboost with the 3.73 ratio. I can get a loaded race red raptor for about 55K. But if I order now the raptor may not show up till march or April. Really don't know what to do. I have driven a 6.2 raptor but never any ecoboost powered truck. If they offered a black and red interior in the raptor I would of ordered one, but all u can get is the black with the race red. Or the black and blue with any other color. Decisions, decisions?

I love my Raptor! Its ultra smooth and quiet going down the road. Its more quiet than my 2011 superduty 6.7 powerstroke! I love it! Go ahead and get it! You will love it!

Given you have both the 11 F250 and Raptor, could you give me some feedback on both? I'm considering purchasing one or the other (this would not be my DD) I've always liked the idea of a larger diesel and ever since ford came out with their own Engineered diesel I've been thinking of pulling the trigger, until I test drove the Raptor. Which do you refer? It's not a matter of towing or hauling, but rather just having a nice truck.

Feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks

Todd

Mine took almost 4 months to come in! I had everything put in it and also had box sprayed. Had mine for 3 weeks now. Best truck I ever had. on street racing tho I have to admit my 07 Titan would slay this truck in a race, even with my chip. But off road (gravel, fields, snow. This is the better truck to have! (Beside the obvious)
Pretty much same fuel as the Titan

Most of us use Photobucket to post pictures to the forum, you can do that.

I've had my 2011 Raptor for just over a year and it is hands down the best truck I;ve every owned. Rides great, gets about the same mileage as any of my other hot rods and I can tow my EB with ease and comfort. My wife likes the ride and all the room. Hard to beat this as a all around truck plus you get gobs of HP and TQ to use off road. Had mine over 90mph off road (beach) and what a blast.
