Tone Ring Replacement

I have to replace a tone ring on the drivers side. I have a few questions that maybe some of you who have done this can answer.

Does the tone ring slide on in any position or does it need to being positioned correctly?

Are the rings the same for both sides of the car?

I have been reading on this site about it and seems like an easy replacement. I will keep up with the post as i will change the part this holiday weekend.

Please if anyone wants to add any info on this part and changing it, like your expieriences, please chime in as these threads are helpful to all even years later.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Yes it is a fairly easy job. Tone rings are the same on both sides. (Front)
The tone ring only goes on one way. You will see. Once you get it off wire brush or sand paper where it seats and make sure you tap it evenly just be patient you will get it.
