Some Turbo 3.0 Ranger Videos
I ran across this on youtube and for us 3.0 guys it defiantly seems like a good idea and looks fairly cheap if you did everything yourself. I always see alot of threads on how to increase power on the 3.0 and well the aftermarket parts for it barely exist. Basically it comes down to shorty headers, full exhaust, and a tuner... I was curious on what would be cheaper building a turbo kit or going the supercharger route? I have the 3.0 Flex fuel and thought it would be sweet to run a custom burnt chip with 87 octane, 91 octane then a E85 tune (104-108 octane). In one of the videos the guy dynoed it and got 251 rwhp and 274 rwtq on 9 PSI (didnt give any specs on it like what turbo, fuel, timing etc.) If anyone has prices on how much it costs to make your own turbo/supercharger kit please post to give the folks interested in doing this a idea. Hopefully it will help out the 3.0 guys/gals wanting more power.
