JobLot Automotive in Long Island New York specializes in the larger trucks, but mostly earlier than our year trucks.They have a website.If you are able to list the parts you need, NumberDummy will eventually see your post and come up with part numbers and possibly dealers that may have some or all of them in stock.That is, if the planets are all lined up,and he's in a good mood.

Welcome to FTE

F60 = F600 / C = 292 2V / 9 = 1959 / K = Kansas City Assembly Plant / 25537 = 1959 numerical sequence of assembly, the trucks specific serial number.

What parts do you need? Steering gear internal parts and front suspension parts like tie rod ends and draglink?

All are obsolete, but can be found NOS.

thanks for your response NumberDummy
Yes steering gear internals, tie rod ends, drag link.
ball joints, bearings and seals.

Where can I find these and other 'rebuild necessary' parts NOS?

It could be if you found another big truck that was say a farm truck, it would be likely that it had lower miles and have a usuable steering box. Then you could match up the outer seal after you give it some new lubrication and be good to go. Just a thought. Willowbilly was talking about walking around in a junkyard last weekend and seeing a couple big trucks. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...alk-about.html

Mac's just sent out their new catalog and there are some of the kind of parts you are looking for on pages 193-194. Most are for smaller trucks though.

When was I in a good mood? Been a crab since day one. Will be crabbier after looking up all those F600 parts.

And, I need the AXLE code that is stamped on the Warranty Plate to determine weight capacity of front axle for steering and front end parts. Also need to know if with or without P/S.

Spurredon, where does willowbilly live? Alaska. And if he lives in Juneau or some other coastal cities/towns, or on an island, the only way to get there is by air, foot, by boat or by swimming, cuz there ain't no roads.

Rainier,

Are you in Washington state? I live WA/ID border. I took out a steering box assembly from a 58 f600 that is in pretty good shape before it was sent to the crusher. It might be cheaper to get a good used one than put in new internal parts. I rebuilt one for a 4x4 and spent up to $500. Send me a private message if interested. Let us know how it is going with the build.
