Question Front of truck bounces

I have a 1997 f250hd and when I put the brakes on the front of the truck bounces real bad. I had new rotors put on about 10,000 miles ago, put on new calipers and new front brake lines had the rotors turned once.I asked to see how much meat was left on the rotors they said plenty.Well it's back and getting worse could these rotors be that bad again?I can not see anything else wrong hate to change them again they are a pain and to go back to a garage is costly, any ideas would be helpful.

I am so surprised that no one on this forum has any ideas guess I will try another set of rotors.

I would look at shocks first. If your shocks are a few years old, they are likely due for replacement.

If the truck shudders only when applying brakes and does not bounce, this could mean that the rotors need to be turned or replaced. Improperly torqued wheel lugs could also contribute to this problem.

My '95 F-250 seemed to enjoy destroying shock absorbers. Rotors seemed to last a long time even though the truck was used for towing.

I don't think it is the shocks I have good bilstein shocks all the way around someone told me the tembrens I put on could cause it but I don't see why they would.

Did you use an impact when putting the tires back on? I would break the lug nuts loose, and tighten them up by hand. I had a car that was horrible after I changed the tires. I did that, and the vibration was gone. Are the slide pins free?

I recently replaced the front rotors on my F150 & noticed the left upper ball joint was loose - when I yanked on the newly installed rotor to check for excessive free play. I had been thinking my front end had been 'bouncing' a bit and was starting to wonder about my shocks.
I don't do my own front end work.
I took it to a shop, they also found a bad right inner tie rod. After they fixed all that, my front end drives like new, no more bouncing. Problem had nothing to do with the shocks.

Everything you mentioned can cause a front end vibration. Worn out parts like tie rod ends, ball joints, shocks. A worn out gear box. Tires out of balance, or out of round. A warped rotor. Brake calipers sticking.

What I find is that after I work on a truck, and all of the sudden a problem appears, it usually, but not always, means that I did something wrong. So that is the first place I look, and then go from there if that wasn't the problem.

Hey, I'm not sure what you mean here, but I recently discovered the Body bushings under the core support are shot on my 97 F250HD with 269K miles. And there are a few stress fractures in the inner fenders areas.
