F10 = F100 2 wheel drive truck. J = 240 CI I -6, 1 bbl engine. E = built at Mahwah, NJ. 591XXX = built in Sept, 1964 as a '65 model year vehicle. 129 = wheelbase in inches. Color O = Lt. Peacock (I think). F100 = 5000 pound GVW truck. Body 381 = Standard Cab with medium green crush vinyl and medium green wicker pattern vinyl. Trans A = light duty 3 speed on the column. Axle 09 = 3.70 gears in a non- limited slip Ford 9 inch differential. Hope this helps.

Thanks SS, yeah this was in a wreckin yard, and had a 4wd steering wheel, with dually r\endalong with an extra rear axle mounted just under the back of the frame, with a contraption to lower\engage the wheels. Never seen that on a f100 tagged truck. Thanks for the help partner

Did you get the steering wheel ?? also, The L door could have been changed thus the rear axle and VIN not matching the truck,,,4 spoke wheels...17" were used on all F350 as well as the 4WD...except 66 F100...

Thanks CS, when you say 4 spoke 17" wheels, do you mean the wheels or the steerin wheel? I didn't have my s\wheel puller so dont have it yet, but really want one for my 66 250. not a 4wd, but I just like the looks of the 4wd one. Anyway this truck really threw me when I saw it in the wreckin yard, f100 emblems, weird stuff under the frame, dual rear wheels (the big 6 luggers), straight frt. axle no radio holes, the steering colum had that spacer b\tween it and the dash- is that pre 61? also the fresh air vents were the straight rectangular type and not like my triangle ones-pre 61 also? I guess that door was a transplant- wasn't in the mood to waller in mud to locate the vin. Hey CS, how valuable are the dually wheels\front ones? have a great day

You might want to check that steering wheel for fit as it probably wont mount properly on your steering column in a standard F250. The base of the steering wheel diameter is wider on the gemmer 350 steering gear and column. If it doesnt fit you might be able to make a few bucks on ebay with it. Does it have an intact horn button and a blinker light lever Id be interested in those if you wanted to get those and sell them.

Hey 99hosss I forgot to mention that the long airvents with the pull cables are from 61-64 and in some 4x4s or f350s. My 65 4wd f100 has a combination of both a long pull vent on the drivers side and the triangle one on the passanger side. If it has two pull cable air vents probably 61-4.
