ok i am looking to buy a ford 7.3 4x4 shortbed (1999) everything he has told me sounds good but one thing just not makeing any since the fuel guage is not working he says it only take about 50 bucks to fill up the tank and about 200-230 its empty so if i added this right thats only about 12-13 gallons and i have found out the tank size on these trucks are around 29 gallons so i dont know where he is fulling the truck up at but fuel aint that cheap lol but any info on this and what could be wrong with the fuel guage would be a big thanks this is my first ford i am thinking about geting and want to be happy with it thanks for all the info just tell it in terms i can under stand not sure what the abrevations are on fords yet thanks

 

You will have to crawl under the truck and look. The tanks are plastic, so there is a chance the tank is collapsed or something. You will have to look though. Could also be he is just mistaken, or someone swapped a different tank in it.
