Got the hood and door seals on the green truck 2day. Had the bed blasted and found so bondo on the bed sides were it has the 45 angle at the top. So tryed to fix that 2day also. Back to the doctors for another catscan 2mor.But we are getting there little by little. MOULTRY SWAPMEET this weekend so ain't nothing going to happen this weekend on the truck that is.

Mine is not that pretty yet , but I still love her. She's getting a new bed and fenders next week.

arrowheadfred, did you buy your grill already chromed or did you send it out? I would like to have one but havent found anyone that sells one.

I had it done because it was already chrome but needed redone. When i got my stock green 51 it had a chrome grill also. I THINK it was something you could ask for back in 51 but others will tell you they only came painted. Think i payed about 800 buck to have it chromed.

 

I think it would be worth it, it makes the front end of the truck

$800 sounds reasonable for chroming the front grille. It needs to be in perfect shape, however.

 

Hey Dale, while at Moultrie, if you see the guy who was selling these a couple of years ago (it appears to be plate steel cut with a water jet. He had about 100 different designs all over the ground and sold them for about $10 per pound), can you do me a BIG favor and pick one up for me? I'll be sure to pay you for it along with shipping. Keep us posted on your truck progress ( I won't post any pictures (besides this one) on this thread.

I saw one last weekend on a ratrod in Panama city. EVERY COOL !!!! The company i worked for when i got hurt was from ALBANY GA. and they got a water jet. Big metal building across from the drag races there. If ya went to them heck they would cut it out of stainless for you. GA. METAL WORKS TALK TO GLEN and tell him i sent ya.
