Problem with wiring
Okay peeps,
I have a 1977 lincoln versailes 302 with alternator...i purchased the ez-wiring harness and running two amps plus stewart warner gauges. The power output is 14.5 and 13.5 going back to the battery. When i drive the truck for awhile, it shuts down and has to chill for like 10mins before it can be started...Could it be that the power coming back to the battery is not enought to sustain all the electrical output for the truck?? what is my best option?? H E L P !!!!!

when you say two 'amps' you're referring to stereo amps right ??? what wattage ?? amp draw for each amp..(how many amps do the amplifiers draw from your 12 volt source ???.
the problem very well may be that your alternator does not have the recharge capacity that you need to maintain the battery ... only running one battery ?? what rating ?? could need a stronger alternator or battery
if you're doing high wattage amplifiers it usually takes additional batteries and high capacity battery or batteries...
one other thing to consider is the size of the wire in your power circuits for the amps and the charging circuit... you might want to put youir question in the stereo forum

more info would help
