Scan Gauge Readings

Ok, I just installed my SGII today. I drove home today after getting the EOT and The ECT set up. My Constant temps were
EOT-193
ECT-173.
They fluxed a degree or 2 up and down. I know if there is more than 15 degrees apart thats a problem. Thoughts? I thought the temps should've been a little higher

First you need to check it cold overnight to see if the ECT-EOT are the same readings before you start if they are then you have a t/stat stuck open. A stock t/stat starts to open at 192.2* and is fully open at 219.2*

Yes you need a new thermistate

Also might want to pull and clean the EGR valve its probably all gooey

It should help your fuel milage to get a thermistate too Diesel trucks need the Heat for proper combustion

Ok, Another question. I have a Ford Premium Warranty. I was told by the Business Manager of the Dealership that I bought it from that This warranty covers the Entire truck. Would it be better if i called the service manager to find out if they would cover the T/stat? I can pull the EGR valve and check it my self. Also, I had a pretty good trail of Light Blue smoke coming out of my tail pipe when I left work. The truck ran great during this. Thoughts?

You also have to make sure you have driven long enough to get temps up to normal temps. After that you should check your two temps driving about 60 over a few miles. You can't do that driving in/around town.

Call your service manager and ASK if your stat is covered..... I doubt it! If you have a Ford Extended warranty, it will tell you in the paperwork that came with the warranty.
