I don't think so. Ford told me the original color of my truck was "Yucatan Gold", and it looks the same as the photo above (although my truck is not two-toned).

I agree with you about the plastic part being the Windshield Washer reservoir, though - don't think this model had a coolant overflow recoverey system in 1970.

W.W. Reservoir and pump motor are available from LMC Truck. Check page 131 of their catalog. The cap is sold separately.

When I bought mine, I thought I'd save some money and reuse my old pump. That was a mistake. Save yourself the aggravation and get a new pump.

This in not the right washer tank. The truck tank has the washer motor mounted to the tank.

The correct one is C8TZ-17618-A.

It is available from DC. Here is a link: http://www.parts123.com/parts123/yb....Z5Z5Z50000024D

Here is a little secret for removing the washer pump. Loosen the filter (on the inside) with a deep socket and a combo of knuckles and extensions. Once loose use a piece of heater hose to get it the rest of the way off. The hose is a great way to get the filter back on. Then tighten with the socket.

By the way. Great looking truck. Keep the canopy. I think it looks great on the truck. If you take it off you will have holes to fix in the top rail. Is that woodgrain on the canopy that matches the truck?

Was that truck on ebay? If not, there was one that was VERY similar on a few weeks ago and the seller had a BIN for like $8500; I think. Either way, I love your truck!

That is a very nice looking truck. You did well. Your call on the camper top. I think original trucks that well preserved are few and far between.

Great looking truck. IMO I like the look of your truck without the camper shell. As been said though, depends on what you like and what you want. You could always take it off, drive the truck for a while and see which look appeals to you. If you decide you don't like it, I'm sure you sell it here and gets some parts money. Nice truck though and thanks for the pictures.

Recycle a coolant bottle to make an over flow for the radiator. Fits right there where the hose is, just got to cut it shorter. No more topping off!

maybe a little late - but thought this website might be useful to you.
Good luck with you "new" truck. Many on here may "condemn" me for posting this, but I enjoy both sites.

Sweet looking truck. Do you have a time machine we don't know about? Looks like you went back in time and bought that off the showroom floor. I like it with the camper shell on, but that is my opinion. I agree that it is period correct.

So Sorry for my lack of response. Thanks for all the love and the links for the washer res. I am going to keep the camper for now.

@ HIO Silver & @williamwilliam -- The Color is per the tag and Marti Report = Wimbledon White(M) & Yucatan Gold
@f100today -- truck was never on Ebay, I bought it from the estate

Going forward I will make sure to respond to questions way faster...
