I was wondering what everyone thought of my color choice my Dad's truck? He passed away four years ago and I am finally getting his truck painted. He always had a red truck, so that was my only constraint. I hope he wouldn't mind the silver I added to it. It should be finished next week and I will post more pictures of the entire truck then.

Thanks everyone. I have absolutely no talent for picturing things like this in my head. It was so important that I not screw this up. Anyone ever think about how many shades of red there are? I'll tell you, two or three or a million! I ended up with House of Kolor's Apple Red over Orion Silver. And yes, I can't wait to see it out in the sun either. The truck has to be reassembled for final paint so that the red is the same shade all over. I can only hope that the rest of the truck (the part that will actually be seen) turns out as well. One thing I am having trouble with is that the silver is even brighter than I expected. I have gray carpet and have dyed the dash pad gray, but now I'm afraid it will seem a little dull next to the silver. Any ideas on color combinations for the interior?

 

How about black and gray? Thats what I'm planning for my truck. I'm thinking black seat upholstery with gray inserts.
With gray dash and carpet, the black upholstery will add a little bit to break up the gray.
