set today out, to windy and too much rain. I had to help track a gut shot deer last night, glad we found it it was the kids first buck and I would hate for the first one to get away. It ran about 200 yards and was laying down when we spoted him, a follow up shot in the head finished the job.

Oklahoma has lots of public hunting land that you can go hunt on, you can pick up set of hunting regs from Walmart or any outdoors shop. check out Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation for more info on where public lands are.

cool thanks on the info but i do try to stay away from public lands due to you dont know where everyone is and they mostly get over crowed that is what happen back in NC rather try to find something to lease if possible.

A lease is better for deer hunting for shure but figured being new to the state may not have the contacts to get on a lease for a couple of years sometimes they can be hard to comeby. If you are hunting anything else I hardley see anyone on public lands.
