on the stock F350 rear axle when removing the rear brake drum is it best to remove the eight axle flange nuts and pull the axle shaft out, or the six inner nuts on the extension piece.and remove them together? I just want to get at the brakes.

 

I'd pull the axle shafts first, then remove the drums. When go to re-adjust the brakes, it will be alot easier on you. Put the shafts back after you're done.
