I don't quite follow the logic that folks are getting let down by seeing this thing go P-pump instead of the DB4 and supercharger route. If Smogie holds together with the P-pump then I think we will have the answer about whether it would have held with the maxxed out DB4 set up. Just because it is a highly custom set up beyond the fabrication skill level and budget of the masses, does not mean we don't get the answers we seek for our own builds. The higher Justin pushes the envelope on the IDI, the more we all get to learn about its limits and limitations. I see this as purely a "win".

Who says that setup isn't going on something else?

Exactly.

The P-pump aspect isn't going to limit what comes from anything else. its just extra frosting... Im just making the frosting before I bake the cake!

Even though its not specific to Smogie anymore, The turbo kit is finally finished and is going on my Friend Keith's truck. He lives a couple miles from me, and already has my 90, injectors, cam, and girdle kit on a fresh IDIT in an 86 F250.

We are dropping my turbo kit on it, was well as a modified HX35 (Drilled/Enlarged WG, bigger puck, etc.), and we are going to be fabbing the prototype IC kit and intake today.

Ill get some pics up tonight.

Is there bad issues with the powerstroke intercoolers?

No, I think they are a bit restrictive for their size, however, its more of an issue of not having to locate and use used parts. It will be a complete kit.

Ok. So with a normal setup, like the factory turbo or even bigger, the SD IC will not be restrictive, right?

I think I paid a 100$ for the heat exchanger and piping. Actually what gets you is all the connecting boots.

I gave just over 100$ for my SD IC. It's just sitting waiting for me to install it.

For a mild build a stock IC would probably be fine. Guy i work with has his factory IC in his 02 dodge, all he does is haul wood with it, probably 500-600hp says it only gets warm on hot days. Thats with a single super B. But if you have the coin, or want to get crazy, Its an upgrade i would consider.

Well the coin is the problem. LOL. I've had plans to get studs, cam and intake from R&D twice now. Both times my money has been spent on other things, my two daughters. One of which graduates high school this round. Senior pictures, class ring and now going to open houses at colleges. Also had a medical issue this time, so the truck gets put aside. But I still have plans that will get done, eventually. Lol.
