I do the oil, and filters as listed, water separator some of the time. When I can remember.
I use Diesel Kleen about every other fillup.

Check the fluids monthly or so. 08 Job 1 truck, I am second owner and there has never been a hint of anything wrong. As far as I can tell, the only thing done is the Venturri T change.
The more it gets driven the happier it is. On long hauls anyway. Pulls my boat like it isn't there and I love my truck.

had my truck for 12K miles now.. bought it used.. i have 66K miles on the clock.. just did my 2nd oil change.. Changing oil ever 5-6K miles.. whenever i can fit it into a weekend. check fluids once a week at least.. i do currently have a leaky radiator.. so i'm constantly checking the fluid level in the bottle.. however, it hasn't leaked in about a month, KNOCK ON WOOD.. run power service every other fill up.. fuel filters are being changed next week by me.. i kept up on the maintenance on my 03 6.0 and had minimal issues with it.. EGR Cooler went out on it.. that was the only problem i had with it.

Currently, my buddies 08 Job 1 6-speed is in the shop for a bent rocker i think.. he is terrible when it comes to maintenance. he hadn't changed or checked his oil in prob 15K miles.. i tried to tell him to keep up on the maintenance, but he didn't listen.. Ford covered it, but i'd like to see how much fuel was in his oil when he took it in there..

I have 67K on my '08 450. 1) I change oil and both fuel filters every 5 - 7,000 miles, , in my driveway, using Motorcraft filters (DieselFiltersOnLine.com) and Motorcraft oil. 2) I use Ford Cetane Booster on every fill up. 3) I never check fluids between oil/filter changes. 4) Both fuel filters changed every 5 - 7,000 as stated earlier. 5) I never check or drain the water separator between services, and have never found any water during service. I only fuel at truck stops, preferably FlyingJ. My truck has had no problems and not been serviced otherwise except for the flash updates at the dealer.

Absolutely stock. I won't even hang fuzzy dice from the mirror until the warranty is up. I think I just got lucky on this truck and got a good one.

Before the DOC/DPF fell off at 67,000 miles, oil was changed every 5,000 miles. Fuel dilution was at 4.5%. TBN Blackstone showed 5.0. Diesel Clean used when pulling my 5ver. Fuel filter changed at 20,000. Water separator drained once a month. Coolant check weekly, Replace radiator, DPF pressure sensor replaced, DPF replaced, only because the tech could not get the sensor out.

Attached is the latest oil report 17,000 miles after the DOC/DPF fell off. You can see the oil changes has increased to 6000+ Todate all is well.

I have 51,500 on my truck, 40,000 of that towing a 13,000 lb fifthwheel on open hwy and in mountains. Oil leak at 40,000 repaired at dealer under warranty no other problems. I do all 5 on the list plus rotate tires every 5,000 miles.
Superchips Cortex 1950 heavy tow tune, Transfer Flow 50 gal Trax II fuel syatem. Best truck I have ever had, looks good, drives good and works hard.

I do all the severe duty fluid changes and don't check fluids otherwise. I go through a set of batteries a year, I've had a cam sensor leaking oil, front axle dust cover seals both fell out, leaking quick disconnect on lower radiator hose, pinion seal leak, I drain my water trap about 4 times a year, I also had the intercooler replaced due to the white smoke thing and it happened a couple times after that but not since I put the spartan on. Also I had the dpf replaced right before I took it off.

Well here goes for me. change oil and filter every 9000 to 10000. when pulling the 5th wheeler 16,000 lbs after the trip it gets the oil changed no matter when the last was. fuel filter checked when the dealer changes the other filters. Trans was done at 40,000
diffs done at 10000 and at 35000 miles. no more diesel kleen, truck don't like it. now use Ford fuel additive every 3 fill ups.
Only problems were a exhaust temp switch, ac blend actuator motor failed. seat heat switch, air bag switch. had the radiator recall done but was not leaking. updated pcm. Recall on the tires.Electric slider had to be replaced. cables came out of the track.Trucks an 08 F 350 4X4 Lariat. Truck is all stock. 53,000 miles. Dealer does all the services and work.

I have the oil change every 5K miles and fuel filters every 10K miles. I only have 34K miles on it, and I did have the rail fuel filter housing replaced after buying bad fuel after a major rain storm. Now, I religiously drain the fuel filter once a month. I hardly ever check the fluid levels between Oil changes. I do use Diesel Kleen about 4Xs a year on the average, and rotate tires every 10K miles. I get about 11.3 mpg, which is surely due to 37” MTs.

My work truck is a 6.4 and it has been served ok granted im sure they have missed some of the services. But it has gone threw two radiators one right after the other, a tq converter had the cab pulled off four times to be worked on! It is beat on hard but it when it breaks down it would be expensive to fix. It has 45k.

I have an '09 F350 SRW 4x4 crew cab long bed, automatic 3:55. I do ALL required maintenance on the Ford maintenance schedule and have had ALL work done at Ford dealers (I have a maintenance plan and extended warranty). I also do Blackstone reports regularly and meticulously log relevant data. I generally change oil at 3,000 - 4,000 mile intervals. Everything else on Ford schedule.

My truck has 32,353 miles as of today (789 engine hours.) I just returned home to Anchorage, AK after a 10,000 mile trip to hunt in Idaho and Montana and visit family in Oklahoma. This truck is not a daily driver (as indicated by the low engine hours and avg 41 mph speed.) It has mostly been highway miles, about half towing my small camping trailer, and about 70% of driving is in mountainous terrain, including much on unpaved roads.

I have had NO mechanical problems. The only repairs I've had was a body repair necessitated when the truck was scraped against a concrete pillar while at the dealer here in Anchorage for regular service. The dealer did the repair at no cost to me.

Well, I bought my 2008 F450 job1 with 40k miles on it. It came with a lot of problems listed below to name some...

Cracked down pipe
leaking turbos
leaking radiator
oil leak from front engine cover
water in fuel separator light always on even when drained

However, this was all discovered when i got the truck shortly after...

Was all EVENTUALLY fixed under warranty.

I now have 64k on it and cannot really think of any real issues i had, other then my i started to get regens every 50 miles... Dealer found nothing. So i since then got the Spartan kit/DPF/cat delete and intake and have no issues since.

Since then, i bought the extended warranty! LOL...

Also, i now do my oil changes at 3k miles, fuel filters at 7k miles, drain water separator every month, check all fluids weekly, and use motorcraft cetane booster at EVERY fill up. I feel I am crazy, but also have had no real issues in about 20k miles, so i will continute to be crazy.

Still running strong

Been tuned since 7k and very few issues. Blend door, noisy idler pulley, locked up left front rotor. All warranty items and engine and tranny are awesome. Engine is so smooth and powerful its crazy. I've even running the no power h&s tune and sometimes i go up to the 80hp tune. Couldn't be happier.
