I just signed the papers for my new 2012 F-250 Lariat CC SB 6.7 FX4! Truck is coming from out of state so I should have the truck sometime in the next week or two after delivery inspection. Anything I should look for upon delivery inspection before signing the final papers and taking the keys? I can't wait and probably won't sleep much this week
Good morning. Welcome to FTE
Congratulations on purchasing the new truck!!!
I don't know much about the new truck, except It's a great truck. There is a fellow in the Pa. chapter that has one, and he is pleased with it, had it at the last GTG (get together) Where in Md do you call home?

I have been lurking around for almost a month reading and digesting what I could. I know about the little issues (isolated, maybe) with trans issues and engine glitches that have supposedly been addressed in the last reflash by ford. All of the 2012s I have driven have been great and I won't really know until I start putting mileage on it I guess. I was thinking cosmetically. Past vehicles have had issues like factory defects that exist to look for and fix right off the bat. I will continue to read through the 6.7 section. Also, are there any sound clips of the DPF back exhausts? I know they "don't change sound at all" but I wanted to hear for myself... I'm also planning to get the lock pick for it as well as bedliner (lineX), 3M clear bra and tint to start. Otherwise, I'm very excited for my new truck!!
Be sure to have a MD dealer put on the tint....you don't wanna pay for tint and then have a cop stop you with an equip ticket to have it removed because it's too dark!

Hey, if your looking for great tint. Im in bel air and just used A Plus Tinting, they are right behind bel air athletic club, they did both my front windows for $70. The guys name is PAUL. Simply awesome is all I can say. HIGHLY recommended, tell him Jay with the 250 sent you.
Tick-tock... The dealer that we are getting the truck from has finally picked a truck from my dealer for the trade. They are working out the time-frame and logistics of the swap now. Looks like it might be after Thanksgiving before the truck comes

Ouch? What dealer are you using?? I went to Norris in Dundalk, I ordered the car on Friday night, and by Thursday was driving it home, yes it was a week, but he had to drive to Atlanta GA to pick it up, then when he got it had a spray in bed liner put in too.
Wow. I'd be wanting some free options thrown at me. That truck should have left there already!!!

Alright, well, after all of the waiting and shipping BS... The truck was damaged today at another drop off out of state with my truck on board. The roof was supposedly "badly damaged" so I am not taking delivery. In my surprise the identical setup that I'm looking for on the F350 was still on their lot, so I took it home today!
I'll get some more up when I get time this week... First order of business is to get lineX, tonneau and tint/clear bra before I leave for the ACC championship in Charlotte this weekend!
I bought a new 03 that was off to a bad start like that. I wound up lemon lawing it. worst truck I ever owned. I have a feeling that other truck was going to wind up like that....
