Headlights

What do you guys think? I think these lights are realy poor. i have to check to see if they are on or not. What options are available. Sometimes I can hardly see at all.

I just put in the siverstar ultras - and for 35 bux, it was worth it.
not a night and day difference, but better than stock.

I want to go projectors next, but can't swollow the bill right now.

Headlights suck...it's been discussed here. HID in a non projector housing is a waste of money and it interferes with oncoming driver's vision...not safe. New housings with projectors or aftermarket projectors in the OEM housing is the only way to make a difference that you'll notice. Another option is to install a set of weatherproof HID projectors (AKA driving lights) like you would a set of fog lights.

Same here.
I wish they would have kept the lights on top of the blinkers. Did Gov mandate that or was it just a Ford thing? I've seen it on the big rigs too so I figure it was a Gov thing.

I'm installing Silverstar Ultras in my truck today. Has anyone changed out the fog lights? I heard people mention going from the stock 9145 bulb to a 55 watt bulb. What brand and bulb # did you put in?

I agree with My Skilz. Going on a week now with my new HID's from DDM. In about 4 hours of night driving and passing maybe 100 cars on rural highways I have gotten flashed twice. Both times were while crowning the top of a hill. I can see this happening as my lights are pointing up because the truck is still pointing up as it comes over the top of the hill. I think to most people this is common sense. Also I was flashed once when I turned on the HID fogs with the headlights. That I will say is a lot of light. I will not drive as a general rule now with fogs on. I will soon take the time to adjust my headlights down a little bit I think just to be on safe side. Overall very happy and can see much better without anyone flashing me when we are passing on level roads. I didn't realize there were so many dear in the ditches. These new HID's will pay for themselves in deductibles and down time of my truck do to dear collisions. <o></o
