Dash xmission gear selection indicator

Dash xmission gear selection indicator
Our 88 F350 work truck has a broken xmission selector indicator control cable. Actually the 23 yo plastic outter is brittle and broke so it pinches the center cable.
Its the cable in the plastic tube that connects to the xmission selector in the steering column that pulls on the cable to make the little orange flag go to the gear you select.
The one that always breaks if a tech forgets to remove it before dropping the column for an ignition switch replacement.
460 gasser all gauge dash panel with the tach.
Anyone know where a replacement can be located?????
LMC trucks does not have one for the 88.
The junk yards rarely have good ones!
