1948 F1 project planning.........

Well after stripping all 3 trucks during spare time in the summer, and getting a title in my name, Its time for a hiatus and a regroup.
(almost time to build an order)
What I have in mind is stock body, flathead v8, front disc and power brake from CPP. Also thinking of using 3" dropped springs, front and rear.
Planning on going with 15 inch smoothies.
Other than that, should be mostly stock.
Looking for advise/experience with clearance issues with the dropped springs and disc brakes.
Any info greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a good plan. I'm heading down a similar road so I will be watching.

When I say stripped, I actually mean 'tore apart', so there arent any real pics of anything other than parts piles.
One frame is sitting, waiting to be blasted, sanded, POR15'd and painted. THEN the fun will start.
I have to take a 'time out' to do some work on the house that I've neglected over the summer.
If pics are required, I can oblige, but nothing stellar (tomorrow at the earliest)

Sounds like a great plan! If mine still had the flattie in it when I bought it, I would have kept it. Think about a T5 tranny behind that flattie. 5 speed overdrive will make it nicer on the hiway.
