Looking for advice on train horn install
#16
The setup on my new 2015 truck is great, I have a long bed which means MORE ROOM under neath for goodies.
Underneath the truck On the passenger side at the front of the bed there is an open space. I mounted my 4 horns on a thin metal plate and mounted the plate up to the cross members on the bottom of the truck bed. The horns are up in front of the rear wheel well and stay surprisingly dry there.
Also, my VIAIR system is mounted to a steel plate that I mounted directly above the drive shaft right behind the carrier bearing. Love having all this room to work with in these long bed trucks!

The undercarriage of my 2013 is so different from my 2005 I had to get pretty creative on my install. The fact that I have the Amp Research Powersteps didnt help much either.I had to buy a lockable tonneau cover to house my spare tire and since I then had lockable storage.I decided to mount my tank and compressor in the bed also.

hers was my K3LA with viair 200psi constant duty and used upfitters to power viair and a trolling motor foot pedal switch in the driver footwell . I used the regulator to back down the pressure for the horns as I also had front and rear air quick connects in case I had to plug and fill a flat as I removed my spare and only bought 4 37" tires when I lifted truck

I never got around to doing it so I can't help... But this is my favorite sounding video of all time on the subject. I haven't listened to it in a while and I'm suddenly feeling inspired again... Video Link: http://youtu.be/UUNnC-9XMnI
