Looking at picking up an 08 and am undecided on what seat arrangement I want to try and find.
I do prefer cloth, but I have seen cloth seats in both the captains w/ center console style and the 4020/40 bench.
Which style do you like best?
On the 40/20/40 bench is there storage under the middle seat?
Also is there only those two cup holders, either on the console or on the flip down part of the bench? No more pull out of the dash cup holder?

I have had both styles in the past and now. I have found, it really depends on how much driving you do at any given time for me. If I am driving a 700 mile stint to Kansas City from Waco, TX, I prefer the Captains chairs and so does the DW. It seems more conforming and better support on the body. But for around town, short hauls, I would drether have the bench seats. I have Leather Captains now in the SD and really like it. MY wife has the bench with center console in her 150 with cloth and we use that vehicle on our short trips to Austin, San Antonio, Dallas unless we are pulling. Nothing really wrong with either, IMO.

Anyone have issues with wearing a spot in the center console where your elbow sits? I wore a hole right in my vinyl on my dodge and now I'm getting concerned with the leather in my King Ranch. I've already started noticing a color discoloration and have tried all kinds of leather cleaners, conditioners, Protectants. Any prevention ideas would be greatly appreciated. Other than not putting my elbow there any longer, which I know a few were going to post.

I prefer the captains chairs vs the bench split and it is nice having the center console.
I have a KR so the leather is awesome. Five years and it is a little dark but I treated it for the 2nd time two weeks ago and it is stifff and new again. It is almost as thick as my leather belt I wear everyday. The basic leather cracks and tears over a period of time.
I need to treat is yearly. Washed my truck finally after two years but I did wax it also.

My console has a dark spot but other then that is shows no sign of thinning and tearing. The KR leather conditioner will darken it but I kind of like it.
Hell I get into my truck wet from fishing or at the beach and the leather holds out great. It is thick leather.
