Ugh...My Garage Radio Died...And I'm a lousy Singer
When i work in the garage i've always got some background music playing. It helps me work/relax. The last few weeks i find myself trying to sing or working in silence. I can't stand it. Anybody nearby have any dirt cheap fm in dash radios they would consider selling to me? (Would trade for ya some homebrew bottles of beer if ya want.) I dont even care about the brand names at this point. I'd even mod an OEM in dash if i had to. I just need something to give me some FM radio music while piddling in my garage.
Thought I heard some screeching sounds the other weekend Thought a couple cats were getting into it!!!!
I do have an old radio some where, just don't know. Next time I have the Thunderbird out, I'll look up in the attic. I'm pretty sure it came out of my '88 F-150 when the cassette player quit.

that would explain why the local cats came over to my garage the other day. lol thx for lookin Mike. I'm also checkin ebay for those that took out their oem radios to install aftermarket cd players. I might find a good deal yet.
I'll be up in the attic in the next day or two, do you still need a radio?

I'm still lookin for one, Mike. I've been bidding on some cheap in dash radios on ebay, but people are paying way too much for this used stuff. I stopped by the owasso pawn and they wanted almost retail for a used dewalt construction radio.
Got the radio out of the attic, it's your if you want it. Don't remember how long it's been up there, I just remember that the cassette player doesn't work in it.

cool. do the papa murphy coupons come with it? lol. j/k we got tons of those coupons too. My whole family and i love that pizza!
I don't know when i'll be able to get with you on picking up that radio. Things are crazy hectic at work right now. And with the holiday coming up i'm sure we'll all be running around like mad.
Maybe i can set up a time to swing by and get it after Thanksgiving? or whenever is convenient for you?
I'll save it for you for whenever you have time. I get home from work around 7:15am and head to bed around 9. Up around 4 and leave for work around 9:30. Usually home on the weekends.

Thanks for the radio, Mike. unfortunately it was toast. It may have been baked by the attic heat? The display lit up real dim but there was no response from the buttons or audio.
But that is ok, because Santa brought me a new cd player with speakers for use in my garage! It's great having music in my man cave again. It's helped me get some serious work done on my tailgate. Hopefully I'll be priming it this weekend.
Sorry about that Ron, at least it was worth a try and you couldn't beat the price. Congrats on the new player
