You would have plenty of room for articulation and room to grow. 31s should fit factory height.

Your tire selection is VERY limited when going with a 10.50 tire

Still, 33 x 10.5 is a GREAT choice, that's pretty much what i would like in my truck, a thinner tire means less wear (suspension, steering, drivetrain, engine), less expensive and works better in the mud (the front section of the tire is thinner so the mud offers less resistance). And personally... i think thinner tires look better. 4" is the sweet spot for lifting in our trucks before it starts getting complicated, and is the required lift to clear 33" tires.

the truck has 31s on it right now and is factory height. its got plenty of room right now. the only thing im worried about with the 10.50 tires is if it would look silly lifted up. ive just never seen it done. the 33x10.50 tires that im looking at run around $190 each give or take. they will also fit on my stock rims. i just looked on 4wheel parts and 4 33x10.50x15 bfg ats will run me $775 shipped

The 10.50 would perform better than the 12.50 in muddy situations, but there is something about the look of 12.5 on a 33, but especially a 35. Either or, there probably wont be much noticiable difference except for price.

Man...I maybe mistaken but that price on those tires looks high. Thats 'bout what I paid for my 35's. I would look around to get a better price. Also, When I first bought my truck many moons ago I put 31x10.50 on it, then I put on 32x11.50 and a 2" lift. IMO, If I were going with the 4" lift I would at least go with a 33x12.50...that would look great. If you you click on my truck in my sig you will see I have 35's with only a 5" lift.

Hope this helps

Tim

I was thinking about a narrower tire for my truck as well, but it all depends on the looks as well as stance. Narrower is better for city driving, less wear on the truck, and in snowy areas it decreases the footprint for better traction.

Anyone have pictures of their trucks with different width 33's?

your truck looks awesome man! i origanally wanted to do a 6"lift with 35s but the truck is on pavement 80% of the time. the reason i was wanting to go with the 10.50 over the 12.50 1)possibly better mpg 2) cheaper tire 3)i dont have to buy wider rims. ill deffinatly look around for the cheapest price before i buy anything but believe it or not, thats a sale price. tire prices are outrageous

Well I was wrong...I just looked at my receipt for those tires and they were $220...sorry....but yes I understand about the tire width...I had to buy new wheels when I put those 35's on.

Good points about the width, 10.5 with a 4 inch lift might look a little awkward.

I think a 10.50 would look good on there. I have a 6" lift on my truck with 33x12.50's and I want to go to either a 33x10.50 or a 285/75r16. I want a narrower tire so they will quite rubbing on the radius arms at full lock.

You know I have heard that complaint alot about the rubbing (even on my year model truck)...I wonder why I have had no trouble with that? Even now with the new wheels and 35's and with my old 33' with stock wheels I have never had a problem with this on this truck. I wonder if it has something to do with the factory sport suspension that come out on these "nite" trucks?

Turnkyle, you could go with a wheel with a better offset..would that help your problem?
