Okay, ill try that next. Out of curiosity, if it were to br the clutch isnt adjusted right, or the linkage, could that effect just that gear or would it do it on all shifts?

Often the little clutch bushing on the clutch rod wears out on these trucks. The bushing is made out of plastic. Look up "permanent clutch fix" This replaces the plastic bushing with a helm joint. Best mod for your 5spd

I second this mod, mine was doing somthing similar because the clutch wasnt engaged all the way. New plastic bushing is a temporary fix, the new Heim joint is the permanent fix. The linkage is under the dash, where the rod goes into the firewall. At the end of that rod (closest to the driver seat) is a little round eye with a plastic bushing in it, that wears out. Check that before you go replacing tranny fluid or clutches or anything.
