questions about a 2005 F250 superduty FX4

Hey guys I'm new here...I'm in the market for a truck and am currently looking at a 2005 F250 SD FX4 package crew cab with 115k miles. Its lifted and on 37's. Very clean and looks kept up. Got the guy down to 20k and just got some questions on what I shoud look for before I make the purchase and if there is any known issues with the 05 models I should watch out for. Thanks and wish me luck.

balljoints...balljoints...balljoints

lift + tires and they are going to get eaten. check them out and use it as a lowering tactic if they seem off.

which motor? If PSD, look at the Degas bottle and look for signs she is puking or is empty. Could be a sign of bad headgaskets. Suggest you spend $160 and buy a Scangauge II. Drive the truck for a good 30 minutes at highway speeds and monitor the Coolant Temps vs. Oil Temps. If the difference at 60 mph is >15F...walk unless the guy will drop $5k off the price. Means the Oil Cooler is toast and needs the top half of motor torn down to replace Oil cooler and EGR cooler.

Gasser - normal stuff. nothing really special to look out for on them.
