Ice free windows ideas?
Alright guys and gals, with cold weather comin (some of you already have it) that means snow and icy windows.
I hate the cold, and waking up early. So winter is my least favorite time of the year. Number one reason is icy windows.
Do any of you guys have any tricks to keep the snow and ice off your windows? (Starting up the defroster doesnt count)
I wanna be able to wake up, walk to my truck, and go with minimal cleaning efforts
Any ideas? I was thinking of a sheet or box to cover the windshield but i want something a little nicer than that, and that wont freeze to the truck itself.
Thanks!

If you have or install a block heater, then keep it plugged in all night with the heater temp on cold (that keeps the heated rad water inside the engine), then go out and start the engine. Open the heater and put the temp on hot with defrost on high. Go inside and drink a cup of coffee. When you come back out, the windshield will be thawed. This is the college way. When you graduate and make those big bucks, then you can aford an alarm/remote start system after your first paycheck.

ive seen people put some sort of cover ofer the windshield in the winter. open both doors and put the tails inside then close the doors so it stays in place. Kinda like a reverse solar shade. im not shure what material it was made out of or how effective it was... good luck
