EDIT: since we are on the subject. I used an oil pump to refill the transfer case because it was quite difficult to fill with the bottle. I used a gear oil pump designed for a Mercruiser out drive. You can probably pick these up at your local boat supply store. It worked ok but I had to keep refilling the bottle because the pickup shaft wasn't as long as I'd like.

Next time I do this, I'll probably fashion up something different. My home improvement store has little pressurized jugs in the garden center. The larger ones are designed for insecticide or weed control but they have smaller hand held ones also. I'd probably try using one of the smaller jugs and see how that works. I bet it would work well.

I always loosen the fill plug first anyway just to make sure I can fill the thing back up.
