6 CYL oversize pan capacity

Hi:

1968 F-250 with 300 six. Engine went through rebuild, and the recent oil pan has a deep sump, and the old dipstick and tube does not read. The dipstick & tube for the large capacity pan was missing.

There is 6 quarts in the system now, and I've run it that way for a while, but now would like to resolve the capacity dipstick issue.

Can someone give me capacities for the larger pans? Or are there just too many variables?

Is there a design distance for the oil level measured from crank centerline or bottom block flange so that I can establish a level on the stick?
