Question Can somebody help me ?? 93 302 5 speed to a 94 351 out of automatic f150 engine swap

Can sombody help me please?? my 93 302 efi engine blew up at 310,000 miles oil pan had 3 holes in it, anyways i had bought a 94 f4te 351 efi to replace it and i know everything is the same set up sept for the fireing order . the other thing is the engine came from an automatic and i am keeping it 5 speed i know the trans will bolt up to the motor with no problems.i also know the trans i have m5 is not strong enough to handle the 351 but as long as i dont romp on it, it should be ok .now im hearing the flywheel i just bought for the old engine i cant use on the 351 also.... i just need to know what i have to change out for this set up to run n drive ....from the automatic wiring harness on motor to 5 speed 302 to 351??

I'm no help 'cause I went the other way with my '85 - from a dog tired 351W to .030" over, cammed up 302 from a '69 Mustang. Someone will pick up on this and help you out.

simple fix, get a flywheel for a 5.8. any F250/F350 5.8 flywheel would work from 88-97 that was mated to a zf.

also just use your efi 5.0 harness on the 5.8 motor. everything will match up even the firing order. not sure if your 93 had a knock sensor but if it does just tap it up and secure it.

is your 93 mass air or speed density efi?

This is pretty straight forward, you need a 5.8 specific flywheel as mentioned which is setup for 28oz crank balance(the 5.0 uses 50oz), and you can't use any wiring that may have come with the 5.8 so take it all off the motor before you start the install. The stock wiring harness in your truck will connect to the 5.8 sensors since they're all the same and in the same place... with the exception of the knock sensor which the 5.8 doesn't use so just leave this connector hanging. You may need to find a 5.8 computer for a manual or non computer controlled automatic(C6) to get the engine to run to full potential, the 5.8 should run on the 5.0 computer but it may not make full power or may have some driveability issues associated with it being a larger engine than the computer is programmed for.
