TRANS LEAK AT NEW RADIATOR FITTINGS

I replaced the radiator in my '88 bronco, 351, auto with no problems but now there is a transmission leak at the fitting on the lower line on the radiator. I don't want it to ruin the lower radiator hose. I tightened both fittings but it still leaks a bit. I don't want to over torque the fittings for fear of stripping them. I don't have a torque wrench. Should I use plumber's tape? How can I stop the leak before the lower hose gets eaten. Thanks!

I believe those fittings are designed to seal at the flare on the tubing, not the threads of the nut. Loosen them a bit and re-position the line slightly, then tighten again. Do not over tighten.

You should be ok to use Teflon tape, just don't over do it.
