Help...Dead Truck!!

I have an '08 F250 CC 4x4 that is giving me problems. I am running a Spartan tune 150HP w/ DPF and EGR delete. I was driving home from work last week and the truck lost most of it's power. There was no boost at low RPM and maybe 15psi at higher RPM. It threw a couple of codes (P2563 & P2263). I did some research here and replaced the EBP sensor. That didn't help. It then threw a P006B code. All of the codes seem to point to back pressure issues. Each time I tried to drive it (2 blocks), it had less and less power. It got to the point where if I started it and put it in gear, it wouldn't move when accelerating. Then it started killing the engine when I put it in gear. Now When I start it, it only runs for 10 seconds before dying. I replaced the fuel filters, and bled all air out of the system, and still nothing. I have reloaded the stock tune and tried other tunes, but haven't had any success. Any direction would be appreciated. Thanks.

Could be a fuel pump issue. My work truck just lost the low pressure pump and it did very similar to what you are talking about. Only difference was that mine showed a low fuel rail pressure code. Worth looking at. Let us know when you find the problem. Senix or Cheezit can tell you much more than I can. Good luck

P006B X KO MAP/EBP Correlation
This error is set when the difference between Maniforld
Absolute Pressure (MAP) and Exhaust Pressure (EP) is greater
than the threshold for a predetermined period of time.
Engine off time > 5.0s.
300 hPa > 5.0 sec
Wiring, EP tube plugged, EP
Sensor, MAP sensor, PCM

Other two codes have to do with the turbo charger and performance.

I'd start looking at your wiring. I think I would check the wiring at the PCM. Check the pins and see if any are bent or pushed in.

So now you are running the Ford stock program? DPF still off?

bad MAP sensor maybe? It happened to my friend's 08 a while back and he had the same symptoms. Not sure what his codes were though.

Senix - Would there be an issue with my PCM connections if I have never removed them? I am no longer running the stock tune. I just reloaded it to try and see if that helped. I have since tried a few other tunes and have the same issue. I also noticed that when I have the ignition an, the PCM makes a high-pitched noise. I think I have heard that noise while loading a new tune, but I think that is the only time I would have the ignition on without the truck running. Is that sound normal?
Thanks for you help.

Maybe the noise you were hearing was the low pressure fuel pump cycling. While it is unlikely a pin issue for your pcm connections since you have never touched it I would start there.

A bad map sensor maybe the issue.

The high pitched whine while loading a tune is normal.

The truck if fixed!! I reloaded the stock tune and checked the EP again. It was showing 12.1psi. I tried starting the truck and it climbed to 48psi before the truck died. I cracked open the exhaust at the cat and tried to start it again. It started and ran just fine. There was a huge cloud of soot pumping out of the exhaust where I separated it. I reinstalled my straight pipe and the truck is running great. The DOC was completely plugged.

I appreciate everyone's help with this problem. I'm happy to have my truck running again.

Just to be clear the DOC and CAT are the same component correct?

Yes, and I think the lesson here is to remove both when and if you get the DPF.

Hang on... if I read this correctly, you were running DPF-on tune all this time with an EGR delete (or were both DPF and EGR deleted?) and you pulled open the CAT/DPF connection when it started belching soot. Did you mean the DPF was completely plugged?

The EBP sensor is after the CAT if I remembered right. If the CAT was plugged, wouldn't it show very low EBP instead of high pressure readings?

Assuming you really meant the DPF was plugged up, how were regens behaving before all this was happening? lower mpgs? Any other unusual symptoms?

I was running DPF delete and EGR delete tune. The EBP sensor is at the exhaust just before the lower EGR cooler. My DPF wasn't plugged because I removed all of the internals from the DPF. It is now just the outer housing without any of the honeycomb inside.
