03 flashing lights at start up

03 flashing lights at start up

hello to all

during the first start up of my 03 all the lights interior and exterior flash until the truck is warm. it only dose this on the first stat up of the day. I have checked all connections tried replacing the alternator and still flashing. any help would be great

no it dose not it has an imobiliser installed but has never acted up before and seems to still be working properly

My truck did something similar...interior lights, etc. Turned out the windshield had been replaced improperly by the previous owner, the seal leaked and the water rotted out the fuse box and some other electronics. It was a mess. Take a look at your fuse box and look for rust and corrosion.

Mac Daddy raises a good point about the windshield possibly leaking------I do that for a living in fact!

Its possible the windshield can be leaking anywhere along both verticle sides and/or across the bottom without any signs unless you know where to look. Not sure what truck/car you have but most current Ford trucks have the fuse box in a spot where leaks from the left side of the windshield could very well fall right into or onto it.

Its possible your flashing lights condition is due a short caused by water from rain or dew that's dislodge from just a bit of engine vibration. I might be able to guide you through leak testing and its not that difficult to do even just by yourself.

i will look into that today thank you both and if that is not the problem i will be back for hopefully other suggestions
