Exclamation Transfer case skid plate?

Are these the same for the full '87-'96 run of the F-Series and Bronco? Does anyone know if these would be readily available in junk yards, and how much they would likely be? I'm looking to add one to my '90 F-150 4x4.

Tcase skid plates are kinda rare, I think they were more common on the broncos. But yes it should bolt right up. I got one off an 84 f350 diesel, and it bolted right onto my 90 F150 5.0

I believe the broncos came with them stock. Or it could be part of the handling package with the quad shocks. But all the Broncos I've seen have them.

Seen them on every bronco, very rarely on a F150. But they will bolt up as stated before

Thank you all.

I called a wrecking yard here and they said they had 25~ of our trucks there and that if I found one it would be $25.

Does that sound like a good price? What are the odds of finding one out of 25-30 random trucks?

i'm not sure, my 84 has the handling package and doesn't have one, but thats not to say that it hasn't been removed at some point.

I parted out an 86, not sure which package it had, either towing or handling (didn't have posi's) but it had one that I grabbed for the 84.

out of 25 trucks/bronco's you should be able to find one.

not sure if I would pay 25 for one though, I could weld one up for that much.

So the '80-'86 will work as well? That's good to know.

I read one guy on here paid $40 for one. Maybe I can talk him down a little if I find one.

I went to the wrecking yard and got my skid plate today!

Out of 40+ trucks, only two Bronco's and an F-250 had one. I took mine from the '88 Bronco.

I just got done painting it Chrome Yellow and will install it tomorrow.

$15.00 BTW.
