I got my truck from my neighbor. The altenator was bad, so we replaced it. It ran for about 2 hours and then died. Am able to get it started again if we float the bowls in the carborator, but then it dies after the gas is gone. Checked the fuel pumps in the tanks are they are working fine. We have gas in the fuel lines, but am not getting any gas to the engine. Does anyone have any ideas?

 

Fuel filter plugged from junk, old gas in tank? I'd change the fuel filter first - then report back. F250HD Custom

 

F250HD Custom.....Thanks for the info. I actually had several problems. There was old gas, water in the fuel lines and both fuel filters were clogged. We were able to get what needed replacing replaced and dried out the fuel line. Now she starts with no problems. Just glad that we were able to get her on the road again.
