I love the new Explorer!

Hi all, John, (powerstroke72) and myself are here to assist you all with anything that we possibly can.

I would like to offer John some wicked huge kudos for his diligent efforts to get this new forum started up for you all. It took a great deal of convincing but John fought the good fight and viola!

I love this newly re-designed SUV, I think Ford hit this one out of the park.

John and I also co-moderate the ecoboost 3.5L and 2.0L forum. I can't wait to read some real world information on the 2.0L engine. It hasn't really gained any traction in the ecoboost forum yet.

Again, congrats to all of you who have pulled the trigger on a 2011 Explorer. Any and all info is welcome here.

I hear they are pretty good. Some of the reviews were not so generous but I think there was already a bit of a refresh and that has turned out to be good.

I am beginning to see several of them around town now.

Glad to see it got its own forum, will make it easier for me to research.

My past 2 Explorers were absolute nightmare's ('02/'04) but I'm willing to give Ford one more shot when my warranty's up next year on the wife's Outlook....

The good thing is, the new Explorer has nothing in common but a name with the old one. I'm not saying anything bad about the old ones but I do know that some model years were better than others.

There are actually a couple of them that own the 2011s Scott. I think it's going to take little while for this forum to really take off though.

Congrats on the new Explorer Zach!

Make sure to post up plenty of pics!

Oh yeah, and make sure to start a new thread when you get some pics and let us know your impressions of it. I'm trying to talk my wife into one.
