Brotherhood of the travelling hub zerk
Most have seen this post; it's worked well for some and not for others. I think most don't bother 'cause who can find the special fitting with a zerk to fit into the ABS opening? The funnel method looks like a challenge - anyway thanks to all who contributed to that thread.

I went ahead and filled my original 2000 Ex front unit bearings with high quality/temp grease. I'm hoping for another 50K out of um, maybe more now with some fresh grease inside.
Some pic's below. They seemed a little noisy before the grease, but now whisper like new. I purchased 2 new unit bearings last year, but they've sittin' on the shelf waiting. Went ahead and filled those up too.
So, here's the deal, if you wanna try, send/pm me your name and address and i'll USPS the fitting to ya. After that, we just keep passing it around and around until everyone has had a chance to try. I'll put a little notebook in the shipping box so each can sign and share a comment or philosophy or whatever.
It'll be our FTE version of the travelling pants.
You guys have done a lot for me; time to pass it along. p.s... Thanks to SpringerPop for sending the first shipment to me.

I'll bite.
I already borrowed Robin's fitting, but had to give it back before I could use it. I just installed Warn hubs and wanted to do this maintenance too, but forgot to contact Robin to ask to borrow it again.
Please put me on the list, dunno if anyone has PM'd you yet, but if not, lemme know and I'll send you my addy.

Trey,
Prepping consists of pulling off the wheel, popping off the caliper brackets and rotors, bending back the sheet-metal cover "tab" over the ABS sensor, removing the sensor (the hex bolt is metric), greasing the hub, replacing the sensor, bending the tab back in place, replacing the calipers (torque those bolts!) and rotors, and torquing the lug nuts.
Easy-peasy, lemon sqeezy!
Use chocks and safety jack-stands!!!

What kind of grease applicator do I need?
Maybe Sean will be kind enough to assist me or let me use what he used.

Here's our all star lineup:
#1 Trey (A/Ox4)
#3 Stewart (Stewart H)
#2 Neil (njeer1)
#4 Rob ( rb8484 )
OK Rob.
Trey stopped by and we fixed him up. One PITA rotor stuck, but a puller got it off after a long search for an 18mm socket.
Neil, it should ship out manana (with wifey's cooperation, I'll be on a plane). A pic from today and the travelling greasy pants, uh zerk...
You're right Pop, it took a while to find an appropriate pants photo.
