I would like to buy one, if that's not an option then I'd be interested in the loaner.

How can I proceed?

Your only 2 options are to PM Andy (Snowseeker) to buy or Sean (wpnaes) for the loaner.

Is the ABS hole into the bearing housing though? When I had the ABS sensors out of my parents yukon I thought for sure the ABS ring was on the axle and not in the bearing unit? The problem was the traction control light would flicker as you left a stop sign and the motor would cut out (traction control), what has to be done is the ABS sensor pulled out, the surface filed down smooth and flat again and ABS sensor reinstalled. No problems since.

I would have to charge the chevy guys more though for the fitting.

Andy,

The "WIFE'S" tahoe is a 2004 and it has the abs sensor in about the same exact location as my 2005 F150. And it was an exact fit. I was happy to be able to grease them.

Whew...glad I own a Ford...and got mine cheaper...so I should probably charge the wife more for using it...

I wonder if the sale of unit bearings is down due to the existence of all these zerks?

Sorry for the multi colors of zerks, I used up the last two I had and the store was still sold out of the nice silver ones I normally get so I had to get get the next longer threaded one. I have bought them completely out of zerks a few times now, I told them to get in an extra box next time.

I would like to hope so! I can't stand "unserviceable and expensive junk". I am glad I can help people save their unserviceable units! I don't know why ford got away from the old tested and proven tapered serviceable bearings. I guess they weren't making enough money off replacement parts with them.
