EGR Questions

Looking at buying a Edelbrock Performer power package and it looks like they only make the kit for non EGR. Do I just buy the EGR plate separately and add it to all of it. Do I need EGR for my 1978 F150.

This is what i'm looking at.

It will depent on your local emision laws. In TX if it had an egr valve factory you have to have it to pass a state inspection. The intake manifolds are diffrent from an egr and non-egr. You can buy a spacer that the valve will bolt to, it will be there and just not work.

Not having it will not change the way the engine runs.
