I just installed a 4" rough country lift on my 92 F250 and I'm very pleased with the kit.

Put the lift on your truck and drive it. If you have axle wrap, you will find out really quick. I doubt you will notice anything with a stock 302 and 3.55's though unless you get wild off road, which you said you won't. I've noticed it in a stock Bronco with a stock 5.0 and 3.55's, but I was giving it hell off road at the time.

You most likely won't need traction bars, but getting lift springs rather than blocks will help you to not need bars

For a shop to do a gear swap for you is pretty expensive. I would guess around $800, but I really don't know b/c I've never had a shop do it before.

idk about MPG but 35's (they are recommended on the RC instruction manual) will fit the 6 inch but may look too stuffed though 33's will look great. Remember to get a rim with a good offset to avoid rubbing the radius arms on full lock or wheel spacers which are very dangerous lol

I had 4:10s put into my truck this past spring, and it was right around 2600 to have it done. But that also included a new limited slip rear end, so if you stay open it may be cheaper

Yeah. My parents Basically said okay to the lift as long as i get a wider wheel/tire. I also need some sway bars..

I wouldnt have a problem with trying to do the gears myself because the pinion sets arent very bad price wise but ive been told its hard to get them shimmed or whatever unless you know what your doing which i dont...

Also one other, has anyone had a shop install their lift for them? If so how much was it?

My 93 is suspension lifted 4in could go 6 with a few bolts moved but dont want to pay for bigger tires. I have 35x12.5s now and a 302 if I drive it well it will pull 10 mpg. But if im on it all the time its more arround 6 Im 19 and consider myself an aggressive driver just for a comparison. You said that you were gonna do ver little offroading but ive had times off road that Ive gotten between 2-3 mpg.

Depending on the kit anywhere form $800-1500 for a basic lift kit. It's crazy expensive usually.

Yeah. I have a buddy that had a shop install a RC kit on his Chevy K1500, ended up costing 1800 in the end total.

You are much better off doing it yourself, its not too hard. Just get a buddy or two and some good tools.

Do you have to take the rotor and hubs off for any reason when installing one?
