Injector install and open to hosting in the UP

I just finished replacing the cups/sleeves and injectors in my '97 CCSB. It's not a hard job, per say. Just time consuming. Have about 8 hours in the whole job spread out over 3 nights. The topic has been covered pretty well so no need for a write-up.

The 160/80 injectors I bought slightly used, are from Rosewood. I can't believe the difference in the old truck. I'm waiting on my tunes to arrive, so the truck is still running stock tuning. Completely different truck. Hope this solves my white smoke in the morning and diesel fuel in coolant along with the coolant reservoir getting pressurized prior to the injector replacement.

That being said if anyone is heading up to the UP of MI for the 4th, let me know. I'd be happy to have a few beers and talk about trucks. There aren't many, if any, members in the UP region and I miss my FTE ties (CO then MA now MI)

You should join a group of us heading to TN in an OBS convoy for RRE!

New injectors sure do make a difference. What kit did you use for your cups? And yes you should come to rre. We need all the obs trucks we can get haha.

Love to come to RRE but don't have the time. It's about an 8 hour drive just to get to Chicago..

I used motorcraft cups and Clay's tool for the R&R. Now it's time to flush the coolant to get the old mess out of there and see if the cups held.

Well then drive to chicago... put your truck on my flatbed and ride the rest of the way!

Dont worry... we can have the convoy stop an hour outside of Newport so we can get you driving in so people dont think its broke down.

ha.

Maybe next year I'll host a RRE at my place. We can use the back 15 as the camping / staging area.

Lol. RRE is a tad larger than 15 acres can handle.

Doesnt mean we cant try to organize a GTG sometime in the spring or early summer? and THEN go to RRE?

I think we need a riffraff gathering in the middle of the country. Something like Kansas City area. Something better than way east or way west..

I'd have a lot better chance to go to one 500ish miles away. It's this 1000 miles that's a killer.

The nice thing about RRE is there is a drag strip right there where you can see who's really got what. LOL The thing that bums me out is that it's an 1/8 mile track.. I will probably come once my truck runs right at the track, but who knows when that will be at this rate.

Yeah man the KOA campgrounds is all sold out of camper spots and cabins. People are booking at hotels down the road in town.

You should go to the 99-03 section and find the RRE 5th annual thread. They have a fireworks show this year... somebody organized a list of for sure attendees which only me and like 2 others from this section signed up for. Even tho i know more are coming.

Anyways its supposed to be a great time. Im excited. first time for me!

Currently the list has like 76 or something trucks. most of them are families. or bringing sig others anyway.

FYI. 15 acres is more than enough room for 76 trucks. LOL The last year that we held our dyno event down here we dyno'd over 100 trucks in the weekend and we were in a much smaller area than 15 acres. haha
