Hey guys got a 74 F250 crew an was told I need new driver door hinges. Is there any way to fix the old hinges like replace a pin or bolt or something? An were is a good place to buy some hinges for these trucks?
Jeff's Bronco grave yard sells hinge pin repair kits $9 per hinge. Not sure how well they work though. They also sell complete hinges for $50 per hinge I have personally never bought ether so I couln't comment on the quality of them
As long as the bushing and pins are all thats worn, a pin and bushing kit will fix it right up.... Now if it has worn to the point of getting into the hinge itself then it would be wise to replace the entire hinge.
the guy who did the body work said the hinge needed replaced. He said the whole hinge needed replaced but I would say just the pin. He said when he went to realign the door he could not get it to line up right due to the hinge being bad.
