'49 Mercury Radio - Someone out bid me on *bay
#16
$50 is about the range I would be willing to buy for as well... since we are both looking, there's no need to bid against each other. If you find one and are worried that I am on the hunt at the same time feel free to PM me so we don't compete.
I did get a radio delete panel so for now I have a cover instead of a hole. So I am in no rush to hide the hole.
I was also thinking of making a storage cubby. My modern car has like 8 places to put your sunglasses, garage remote, etc, these old girls have one spot - glove box, and my what a giant glove box it is.

Yah the refurbished looks great! but my truck is 12v neg ground... So I will just like to find one that looks good, has the front chrome nose, push buttons, and ***** that I can make light up when turn the lights on. I would rather have a great looking refurbished one go to someone that is restoring their truck.

Update
New news about the '49 Mercury parts radio... The guy that used the "Buy It Now" option said he thought it was a working radio, so he returned it. The owner emailed me and offered it to me for the amount the amount of the orig reserve. I counter offered and we agreed on a price so I have a radio on it's way to me. I need to make a cage and mounting bracket. Re-wire it so the lights work on the deck.
